WristMic 腕麦

Privacy

Updated October 18, 2026. Applies to WristMic for Watch, its Mac companion and this website. Developer: 张超 (Chao Zhang).

Audio and text

WristMic captures Watch audio only after you start the microphone and sends it over an encrypted connection to your paired Mac. Recognition runs locally. We do not operate an audio relay or cloud transcription service, and do not upload audio or recognized text to our servers.

Call mode routes audio to the local BlackHole 2ch device. Your calling app then processes and transmits audio under its own privacy policy.

Local data

Pairing credentials are stored in device Keychains. Settings, setup progress and review reminder usage counts/dates remain on-device. Models remain in the Mac application-support directory. Daily recording is off by default. The five-second test uses a temporary local file deleted when leaving the test page. Optional diagnostic WAV recordings and exported logs remain until you delete them.

Diagnostics include connection events and performance data, and may include device names, focused-application information and system errors. Review logs before sharing. They are not automatically sent to the developer.

Permissions

Microphone access supports explicit capture, local tests and optional Mac-microphone fallback. Local-network access discovers and connects devices. Input Monitoring detects Control and cancellation; Accessibility checks focus and inserts text. Keystrokes are not uploaded. Login launch can be disabled.

Network requests and website

Initial model downloads access official GitHub release hosting. Downloads, help links, review links and third-party websites contact their respective services, which may process network information such as your IP address. This website uses no advertising or analytics scripts and requires no account. The web server retains routine access logs for delivery and troubleshooting.

Control and deletion

Mute or stop on Watch, or stop from Mac. Disable automatic dictation, test recording and review reminders, or revoke system permissions. Reset pairing to remove trusted-device records. Uninstalling does not automatically remove all local models, settings or exported recordings.
