From installation to your first sentence.

Requires macOS 14+, watchOS 10+ and a reachable local network. The current app interface is in Simplified Chinese.

Install the Mac companion

Open the downloaded DMG, drag WristMic to Applications and launch it there. The receiver starts automatically. Use one installed copy.

Pair your Watch

On Watch, choose 连接 Mac (Connect Mac), find your Mac, compare the fingerprint and enter the six-digit pairing code displayed on Mac. Allow the microphone permission. Tap 开麦 (Open Mic) to start.

Enable dictation

Follow Mac setup to download the local model, about 155 MB, and grant Input Monitoring and Accessibility in System Settings. Click the built-in practice field, hold Control, speak and release. Clicking the mouse or pressing another key cancels that attempt.

Optional call microphone

Install BlackHole 2ch separately from its official source. Restart if the installer asks. Return to WristMic and follow the call setup guide.

Update

Stop the Watch microphone and quit WristMic before replacing the copy in Applications. Pairing and settings are retained. Remove the app to uninstall; local recordings and model files remain until you delete them. BlackHole has its own uninstaller.
